I will answer this question based on a conversation I had recently with a co-worker at my engineering job. He is a Christian and was moving to Woodland from Vancouver and looking for a church in the area to attend. He knows that I am a pastor and asked to have lunch and discuss our church. Read more
Hi, I am Mike Morgan, and I get to be the pastor at Lewis River Fellowship. This bio should give you some details about me and what brought my wife Diana and I to Woodland.
I was born in Kansas City, MO. I attended Mid-America Nazarene University, where I met Diana, we were married and then went on to Kansas State University to study Mechanical Engineering. Our lives have taken us from Manhattan KS to St Louis MO to Jokkmokk Sweden (ask me about this one!) to Centralia WA to Bourbonnais IL to Westminster CO and now to Woodland WA.
Diana and I have three grown children – Melanie (married with two kids and living in Portland OR with her husband Eugene Lee), Angie (single living in Portland OR), and Jared (married with two kids living in Portland OR with his wife Carissa Reams Morgan).
We have always listened to God’s voice in our family life to hear what He had next for us. This life of listening has taken us many places (as you saw earlier). Diana’s work life has been with early childhood development and education, as well as with parent education. She now directs our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group at Lewis River Fellowship. We both have worked with Jr High, Sr High and College aged youth nearly all our married life. I started work as an engineer, answered a call to youth ministry in several local congregations, then taught engineering at Olivet Nazarene University and served youth and families, next as an engineer, and now am co-vocational as lead pastor of Lewis River Fellowship and Technical Trainer at USNR in Woodland WA.
